For the 2019 PG Bison competition, designers were to investigate, conceptualize and develop a residential design model, aimed at middle-income earners, to help facilitate their housing program.

The aim was to improve the perceptions of urban compaction and attract the growing band of middle-income earners in the city.

Derived from the Swahili word Kujenga, Jenga blocks are typically rectangular wooden blocks that gets stacked into a tower, which the player carefully remove block by block until the tower tumbles over.

​

Not only is this a challenging structure to imitate, but it is also a very familiar shape and concept to people - which makes the building more approachable.
